Pigeon Forge sits at the edge of the Smokies, where ridgelines and forested slopes are never far from town. Late September into early October cools noticeably—highs commonly run from the 70s down toward the 60s, and lows often fall from the 50s toward the 40s. The strongest draw is the nearby Great Smoky Mountains, including the Cades Cove area for scenic drives and open valley views.
