Porto-Novo, Benin
Porto-Novo, Benin’s official capital, is a lagoon-side city where daily life is shaped by markets, waterways, and layered history. Late September into early October is hot and humid, with typical daytime highs around 29–31°C (84–88°F) and nighttime lows near 24–25°C (75–77°F). The city’s character shows up in its Afro-Brazilian architectural influence. For a focused look at local heritage, Musée Honmé (in the former palace of King Toffa) is a key stop. Shopping is centered around busy market life, including the Ouando Market area.
Porto-Novo is a place where God has placed His name to observe the Feast of Tabernacles.
