San Diego offers a coastal city environment with a mild, steady climate and plenty of open-air space. Early October typically stays comfortable—highs often hover in the low-to-mid 70s, with nighttime lows around the low 60s.
The scenery ranges from oceanfront cliffs to coastal parks, and the city’s larger attractions are easy to recognize without needing a packed schedule. Balboa Park provides museums and walking areas, while the USS Midway Museum adds a historic waterfront option; Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve offers trails with ocean views. Restaurants and shopping are abundant across many neighborhoods, so the week can be structured simply and efficiently.
With mild coastal weather San Diego is a pleasing environment to keep the Feast of Tabernacles with our family friendly activities. San Diego is a family friendly conservative area in Southern California with something to do for almost anyone's tastes.
Flights in and out of San Diego International Airport are served by Southwest and many other major airlines. The Encore Event Center (where daily church services will be held) in the Kearney Mesa central area of San Diego, is only about 20 minutes from the airport.
