Sasolburg, South Africa
Sasolburg sits in South Africa’s Free State and forms part of the Vaal Triangle, an urban area clustered
around the Vaal River south of Johannesburg. The surroundings feel open and functional—river country,
wide skies, and an easy drive to water and farmland rather than a dense city center. During the Feast
season, weather trends mild-to-warm: late September afternoons commonly rise from the low-to-upper
70s°F, and early October holds near 78°F (about 26°C), with nights generally in the 40s to mid-50s°F
(about 6–13°C). Nearby, the Vaal Dam is a familiar regional draw for boating and fishing, and the
Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site offers a distinctive natural landmark within reach. Shopping and
everyday needs are straightforward in town’s retail centers.
Sasolburg provides a wonderful location to gather together with like-minded brethren and celebrate the
Feast of Tabernacles.
