South Padre Island, TX
South Padre Island is a narrow barrier island with long beach frontage and a distinct “water on both sides” feel. Early October typically remains warm—highs often ease from the mid-80s toward the low 80s, with lows moving from the mid-70s toward around 70. The natural beauty is straightforward: shoreline, sunrises over the bay, and wide-open sky. Outdoor time generally centers on the beach and water access, and Isla Blanca Park is one of the main public beachfront areas. Dining is mostly casual, with seafood and local spots that fit the island’s simple pace; shopping is available but not the focus. South Padre can be lively, but it also offers plenty of space for quiet walks and conversation.

Its coastal setting provides a warm, open-air environment to gather with brethren and observe the Feast of Tabernacles.
