Stilbaai, South Africa
Stilbaai (Still Bay) is a small southern-coast town shaped by the meeting of the Goukou River mouth and the Indian Ocean, with protected shoreline and estuary habitats that keep the setting quiet and nature-forward. The Feast season falls in the Cape spring: typical temperatures run about 19–20°C (66–68°F) in the daytime and 13–14°C (55–57°F) at night, with moderate rainfall possible. Much of the scenery is simple and close—beach walks, river views, and short trails near the water rather than long drives between highlights. Local points of interest include the well-known Palinggat eels (with scheduled feedings) and the nearby Blombos Cave, an important Middle Stone Age archaeological site. Dining and shopping are modest, typical of a coastal town, with practical options and a slower rhythm.
Whether exploring the coastline, enjoying outdoor adventures, or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings, Stilbaai provides an ideal setting for the Feast of Tabernacles.
